Seems from all angles, Hyndai's use of Thick deconstructs all it stands for. This less complicated, less technoligical world that marches and sails, with a specificly negative stance on cars, is stripped of it's ideological credibility. It's like forcing a Shaman from his other-worldly healing to perform surgery in a hospital. The dreaming, hopeful world that is sacred in us has been used to consume and draw us further away from the milking maid and her soft organic beauty. Has Ian Anderson offered a rational for negating his masterpeice for a car company? Can someone show us anything good out of this development? How has a song that should have been sacred not been insulted? Are there still sacred things in the world? A sign of sad things to come....
