Fan Experiences - Chicago 2001

Still coming down off the high I got from seeing Tull at a fine, fine Chicago venue. It was my tenth or eleventh time seeing Tull since 1991. I went with five of my brothers so it was extra special. They are all older and have seen Tull in their heyday in the '70's.

The show was great. A good mix of old and new. Music was impeccable. Ian's voice was decent. Better in different areas of the venue. I love that they are out there doing it. I think his voice is best on the acoustic tunes but what do I know. I'm just a wanna be rock star.

Set list talk (so do not read ahead if you don't want me to spoil it)

Anyway, stand out tunes and unexpected: Jack-in-Green, Sweat Dream, Set aside, Farm on the Freeway (good that one is back), Roots to Branches, and most of Cross-eyed Mary. It seemed like Ian is finally coming back around to the mid-70's stuff instead of all the Stand Up stuff Tull has been playing. It's great to hear a different show. Keep up the good work!!!
